Description
Memory-3 Basic is a game similar to the old card-game Memory, but with a few twists. Click to uncover tiles. Match three tiles by color, shape, or symbol to earn points. Some combinations earn more points than others. Try to achieve the highest score, or race against the clock to achieve the fastest time, or do both.
Review
This game suffices to test how well your brain retains information, but its lack of features and a rather miserly demo restriction are certainly disappointments. Memory-3 Basic's nonresizeable interface doesn't boast top-notch graphics, but it is immediately apparent how to play and configure the game, particularly since there are few settings to tweak. In short, you click a spot on the board to turn over a colored symbol. After you see three, they'll turn back over, and you have to remember where they are when you turn up identical tiles. Once you match three symbols, you'll score points. The program offers three difficulty levels that vary depending on how many tiles are showing when you start the game. However, other than that, you can't customize the game in any manner; you can't even disable the rudimentary and patience-testing sound effects. Also, the trial version only lets you play one game on each difficulty level. However, if you can live with those issues, we think you'll find Memory-3 Basic a challenging, if not groundbreaking, diversion.
