Snowfall was made with Quartz Composer, which comes with Apple's Developer Tools. If you have these tools installed please feel free to open it up, see how it works, and make it better. Excuse the semi-mess of the individual snowflake generation, getting different random numbers out of Quartz Composer for each snowflake caused some unpleasantness. There's probably a way to do it better, but in the end this still looks pretty, right?
