MCS CPU Benchmark V5, the latest version of the CPU performance benchmark program from MCS Studios. This unique program provides an accurate and consistent assessment of the performance of your processor in general home environment usage. MCS CPU Benchmark V5 can be easily obtained and it is easy to install and run. It have a lot of additional stuff like CPU Monitor, CPU Optimizer module and processor features. Version 5.03 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
Review
Though this faulty program is designed to test your processor and provide standards for future tests, it just doesn't deliver. MCS CPU Benchmark proved a bit confusing from the beginning when its Start menu folder didn't offer a shortcut to the program and we had to locate it in Windows Explorer. It does sport a clean, simple interface displaying real-time RAM and virtual memory capacity and usage, with limited menu options for a CPU test or for viewing processes or CPU information. After the test is completed, you're prompted to send results to the publisher or view and compare your results online with other users. However, in several tests, the latter option created a runtime error and the program closed without sending the information. Though there's a setting for optimizing your CPU, this requires installation of a separate program. With this freeware application's disappointing output, users should look elsewhere for a more effective way to evaluate their systems' capabilities.
