Description
Learn up to 9,100 Spanish words using sound and text flash cards and word lists. The program remembers which words you've marked as known so they're removed from rotation. The initial download has only the 1,000 most common Spanish words, but all 9,100 words are freely available on the Web site. Create mp3 files for your MP3 player; record your own words, student-testing feature, advanced flash card settings. Version 2.0 has new features: student testing, create your own word lists and record words, word lists are printable, improved MP3 file creator for downloading to your MP3 player, and more advanced flash card settings. All of these adjustments are due to user feedback, which has greatly improved the program.

Improve your Spanish or English vocabulary with this simple flash-card program. The database of Spanish Wordsgalore contains some 9,000 flash cards with words in both languages and real human pronunciation. The program tests how well you know words' meaning and spelling. Once you've run through the program a few times, you can eliminate words from the list if you know them well. You also can record your own words and download the program's sound files to an MP3 player for added practice. We like the depth of material (and the fact the program is free). Despite its lackluster interface, Wordsgalore is a decent choice for beginning language learners who want to strengthen their vocabulary skills.
