Description
It is a tiny program for viewing the screen area in different zooms. But unlike other similar programs iZoomMouse maintains a zoomed image of the area directly under its own screen. And best of all it allows users to have full control of "alien" windows - all your mouse and keyboard events will be transferred to the zoomed window. The program was specially designed for legally blind and elderly persons who uses computers.
Version 1.02 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
Review
This simple application magnifies a small portion of your screen but doesn't deliver all that the publisher promises. When launched, iZoomMouse turns your mouse into a magnifier, enlarging a small area around the pointer. You can still click, type, and otherwise work with the mouse, though it takes some time to get used to the dual function of the pointer. During the trial, the word
Unregistered
appears in the magnified area, which also creates a distraction. iZoomMouse claims that users can choose a zooming factor and define the size of the magnifier screen, but these options weren't found in the demo version. Also missing was a help file and any type of control panel or other access to settings. You can get better screen magnifiers, some of which are offered as freeware, and they easily outclass this simplistic application.
