Garbage Remover Lite

This application effectively scans for junk files that may clutter your hard disk, but its minor cleanup features fail to remove other items such as history files that competitors frequently target. Garbage Remover Lite comes with a plainly designed interface that has options for choosing the storage device you want to clean and a large tabular window for listing the junk files it finds. It also comes with preset filters for identifying temporary, backup, and old Chkdsk files, and you can add other types of junk files. We were pleased that you can choose to have the program move all junk files to the Recycle Bin or completely remove them from your hard drive. In our tests, Garbage Remover Lite quickly scanned and easily removed located files. However, we wish it could also delete other nuisances, such as browser history and traces left by other third-party applications. While Garbage Remove Lite's limited features do a decent job, we think this freeware is unlikely to satisfy the demand of most users who wish to remove the performance-dragging bulk in their hard drive.
