Description
The ErrorShow program requires a message definition as input. The caller can ask the program to search the system's message table resource(s) for the message definition. The program finds the message definition in a message table resource based on a message identifier and a language identifier. The program copies the formatted message text to a text box, processing any embedded insert sequences if requested.
Review
This free application displays Windows error messages according to their numerical assignments, though its reason for doing so is puzzling. Find Error Description has a small, basic interface. You'll simply enter the number given with the error you received, and the program displays the related error message if it is available. Its efforts appear rather pointless, since most errors received on your system will include the descriptive number and the reason why it's applicable. The program doesn't even provide any more information regarding the errors, such as why it possibly occurred, potential ways to alleviate it, or maybe even attempts to prevent them. Since we can't pinpoint a use for Find Error Description, we can't recommend its single function.
