Description
Main Screen is an application designed to make the boring and monotonous work of taking screenshots into an easy task. The setup is simple, just extract and run, main screen interface is mostly a well designed one, and everything works fine. Version 2.0 build 2.0.0.371 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
Review
This small freeware offers only the most basic of modifications to Print Screen's output files, and the lack of a Help file negatively impacts its usability. Main Screen's interface is small and seemingly straightforward. It allows you to modify the output file names of images captured with Windows' Print Screen button. You can type your desired filename and select from JPEG, BMP, and PNG formats. The Mask Editor button opens a new window with a field to enter the File Name Mask and assign tags like Hour, Month, Counter, or Image Handle. There's no explanation for how to use the program or any of its features, and while some are self-explanatory, Main Screen would benefit from some type of user guidance. Not for the novice, more advanced users might appreciate this freeware program's limited capabilities.
