Although it quickly takes care of its main job, a troublesome installation process and limited functionality limit this PDF-conversion utility's appeal. After downloading the relatively small file, we were annoyed to learn we needed another application called Ghostscript to use PDF2everything. Obtaining and installing that relatively large 8MB file added an extra 15 minutes to what was an otherwise painless process. The program converts PDF files to a variety of graphical formats, including PowerPoint, JPEG, BMP, and TIFF, but it neglects text-based apps such as the ubiquitous Word. The utility lets you define the slide size for PowerPoint documents, as well as specify output quality and pages to convert. However, you won't find support for batch conversion, another unfortunate oversight. In our limited tests, PDF2everything seemed to do its work fast, but since the trial version only lets you convert the first page of your document, we can't be sure how speedy it truly is. This program does what it claims, but many others do the same without the hassle.
