SonicWALL Anti-Spam Desktop (64-bit version) is a powerful client-based anti-spam and anti-phishing software that provides protection for Outlook, Outlook Express, or Windows Mail e-mail clients on Windows-based desktops or laptops. With SonicWALL Anti-Spam Desktop, users can once again use their email as a tool to enhance productivity instead of being a source of user frustration and administrative dread.
SonicWALL has engineered costs out of Anti-Spam Desktop to deliver affordable world-class e-mail protection. The software blocks spam and phishing emails from reaching the Inbox by acting as a plug-in to Outlook, Outlook Express, or Windows Mail. It evaluates incoming emails via Exchange, POP, or IMAP to the email system and prevents spam and phishing emails from reaching the Inbox.
Once installed on your system, SonicWALL Anti-Spam Desktop will start each time you start your email client. The software evaluates incoming emails as they arrive in real-time and places spam e-mails in the Junk Mail folder while legitimate e-mails are placed in the Inbox. Phishing e-mails are placed in Phishing Mail folder while challenged e-mails are placed in Challenged Mail folder if Challenge/Response option is enabled.
If a spam message does get delivered to your Inbox by mistake, you can simply highlight it and select the "Junk" button to remove it from your inbox. This also adds the sender's address to a blocked list so that future emails from this sender will be blocked as spam automatically.
On the other hand, if legitimate mail unintentionally gets placed into Junk Mail folder then you can simply highlight it and select "Unjunk" button which will add sender's address into an allowed list so that future mails from this person will be delivered correctly.
