Gasketed Plate Heat Exchanger Design

Gasketed Plate Heat Exchanger Design 8.0.0.1

Windows / WeBBusterZ Engineering Software / 5331 / Full spec
Description

Gasketed Plate Heat Exchanger Design, also known as PHex, is a powerful and easy-to-use software tool that allows users to perform thermal calculations for gasketed plate heat exchangers. With this software, users can enter plate dimensions and materials, including the size of the plate heat exchanger and chevron angle. PHex supports both S.I Units and English (U.S) Units of measurement.

One of the key features of PHex is its unit converter, which contains 23 measurements with 200-unit conversions. This makes it easy for users to switch between different units of measurement as needed.

The full version of PHex includes a manufacturers plate database containing over 230 plates. Users can also import physical properties data to the hot side and cold side from Microsoft Excel or from WeBBusterZ Physical properties database (included with full version). Additionally, results can be exported to an engineering data sheet in PDF or Excel format.

In cases where there is insufficient data available for temperature and flow rate estimation, PHex has the ability to estimate any two unknown temperatures provided that the heat load and flow rates are specified as input. Users can select from a list of 12 Nusselt number correlations for more accurate calculations.

PHex also includes several other useful features such as clean or fouled heat load required calculations, total effective area & surface area calculation, no. of plates calculations, overall coefficient (clean / dirty) calculations, pressure drop channel/port/total for hot side and cold side calculations, plate heat exchanger dimension calculations, velocity through ports/mass velocity through channel/ports calculations, and heat transfer coefficient calculations.

For even greater flexibility in use cases where physical properties data may not be readily available or easily accessible elsewhere online or offline sources; PHex offers an estimate feature that allows users to estimate physical properties for more than 1450 components using its separate software database included with full version purchase.

Users have complete control over their own databases by creating their own custom databases containing fluid physical properties which they can then load into their projects at will. They may also add their own Nusselt number correlations if desired.

Fouling factors are included with the full version purchase along with overall heat transfer coefficients so that users have all necessary information at hand when performing thermal analysis on gasketed plate heat exchangers using this powerful toolset!

Finally Material Thermal Conductivities are included within this package making it one-stop-shop solution when it comes down calculating thermal performance characteristics associated specifically related towards Gasketed Plate Heat Exchangers!
