Baraha is a powerful educational software that supports a wide range of Indian languages, including Kannada, Sanskrit, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Gujarati, Gurumukhi, Bengali, Assamese, Manipuri and Oriya. This standalone program is designed to help users edit and print documents in their preferred language with ease.
Baraha comes with three different programs: BarahaPad for editing Unicode documents; BarahaIME for typing Indian language text in any Windows application (compatible with MS-Office); and FontConvert for converting documents between Baraha and other third-party fonts. With these tools at your disposal you can easily create e-mails or blog posts in your native language or even build web-sites and DTP projects.
One of the standout features of Baraha is its phonetic keyboard for Indian languages. The Brhkbd Keyboard is user-friendly and easy to use while the Inscript Keyboard follows the government of India standard for Indian languages. Additionally Script Override converts Indian language text from one script to another which can be useful when learning one script using another.
Exporting your work has never been easier thanks to Baraha's ability to export documents as Text files or RTF files as well as UNICODE HTML documents or BMP GIF JPG picture files. Sorting Indian language text has also been made simple through this software's capabilities while converting documents from one script to another has never been more straightforward.
For sightless people who rely on Braille scripts there's no need to worry because this software also supports it! Latinize Indian language text (ISO 15919 IAST) can be added too so that you can add support for your VB/C++/VB.NET applications.
