dotConnect for Salesforce

dotConnect for Salesforce 3.5

Windows / Devart / 385 / Full spec
Description

dotConnect for Salesforce is a powerful solution for integrating data of the Salesforce.com cloud CRM and Database.com cloud database with widely used Microsoft data development technologies. This developer tool includes Entity Framework provider, ADO.NET provider, and offers Devart Salesforce Source and Destination components for SSIS packages. With dotConnect for Salesforce, developers can easily work with Salesforce Leads, Contacts, Opportunities, Accounts and other objects using SQL-92 compatible SELECT statements in the same way as with SQL tables.

One of the key features of dotConnect for Salesforce is its powerful SQL engine. Developers don't need to learn complex Salesforce Web Services API - they can use their existing SQL knowledge to work with data in the cloud CRM. The local SQL engine allows developers to use complex JOINs and WHERE conditions - all the benefits of SQL that are not available with SOQL.

Another important feature is Entity Framework support. dotConnect for Salesforce supports Entity Framework v1 - v6.4 and Entity Framework Core which allows developers to benefit from using LINQ to Entities, entity relations with lazy/eager loading. With Entity Framework, developers don't need to post each edited/created object separately - a single SaveChanges() call persists all changed objects.

In addition to these features, dotConnect for Salesforce also offers SSIS Data Flow Components which allow querying data with both SOQL and SQL in Integration Services packages. The source component is able to query data with or without deleted records or system fields while the destination component uses native bulk protocol for loading data in Integration Services packages.

The professional edition of dotConnect for Salesforce also includes advanced caching capabilities that improve performance by reducing round trips between client applications and servers. This feature ensures that frequently accessed data is stored locally on client machines so it can be retrieved quickly without having to make additional requests over the network.

Furthermore, dotConnect for Salesforces comes equipped with an advanced visual Entity Framework model designer called Entity Developer which simplifies creating models visually instead of writing code manually.

Overall, dotConnect for Salesforces provides a comprehensive set of tools that enable developers working on Microsoft platforms such as. NET framework or Visual Studio IDEs (Integrated Development Environments) like Visual Studio 2019/2022 etc., easy access into salesforce.com's cloud-based CRM system through its own local sql engine alongwith other enterprise level features like caching capabilities & ssis components making it an ideal choice when integrating salesforce.com's cloud-based CRM system into your existing software infrastructure!
