You simply load a PDF and specify the split points, and the application rapidly does its thing.
However, don't look to A-PDF Splitter if you want extra features; it omits even such basics as a viewing tool. The demo places a nag screen on the output files, but it's small and almost unnoticeable. Our bigger concern was the program ran out of memory when splitting a large PDF file (though our computer had 512MB RAM and 10GB of free space on the system disk). At $27, A-PDF Splitter is a bit expensive for what it does, so test it thoroughly before you buy.
