Description
ResponsivePC is a performance optimization software. It has features appropriate for all sorts of machines, from older or entry level hardware to high end. Often, a PC can benefit from most ResponsivePC features and utilities, which are:
Processor: reduce priority of background processes, reduce priority of intensive processes, make the foreground process stand out, balance the load between CPU cores.
Memory: limit memory of background processes, reload processes, protect the memory of the foreground process, lock memory frequently used.
Disk: reduce disk contention, gather statistics about files used, load data in advance, accelerate program loading.
Per program optimization: better use of processor and pause system services while a chosen application is running.
Startup editor: select programs that load with Windows.
NTFS file compression: improve read speed, save disk space. Files will be more tightly packed on a faster area of a disk.
Defragmenation: move files to single contiguous blocks, related files are placed side by side on disk.
