Description
CalcComplex is a simple app for performing the five operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, square root and the conversion of complex numbers. It is useful for the student and practitioner in the many technical disciplines which use complex numbers. These numeric operations which require a number of steps and trig functions are instead done with the touch of a button. Direct button operations are provided for the operations.Two complex numbers are entered as either a rectangular pair or a polar pair into the number 1 and number 2 fields. The input choice is selected by the corresponding segmented control. Pressing one of the five function buttons then gives the input numbers in the converse format. Concurrently the corresponding answer is displayed in both rectangular and polar form. The square root operation is the square root of the product of the two numbers entered.The conversion button accesses a screen which provides for the conversion of a complex number between the rectangular and polar forms.
