Description
RTMirror lets you specify one or more folders on your local hard disk. As soon as you modify files in those folders, RTMirror will silently copy them to a different folder (either on another hard disk or on another networked computer). RTMirror works in real time: as soon as a file is created or modified, it is automatically copied within a minute. In case of a failure of your primary hard disk, you will be able to restore your important files.
Review
This simple program effectively creates backups for your newly created or modified files, but the one-hour trial limit is not sufficient for evaluation. RTMirror's interface may not be as pleasing as other utilities in this category, but it impressively eases your way in creating backup files. Simply define the source and destination folders, select Start Mirroring from the File menu, press the OK button to hide, and you're done. After you modify a particular file or create a new one, this application quietly creates a copy of that file in the destination folder after a few minutes. RTMirror logs the activities taken, and it includes an Align Folder feature that copies all the contents from the source to the destination folder. Moreover, you'll be able to set filter options for excluding files that would exceed byte limits or have filenames with certain extensions. However, the one-hour limitation is annoyingly insufficient. This application is a great tool for users concerned with creating constant backups.
