Description

Secure Shield lets you password protect any program or folder. Simply drag and drop any office documents, software, personal finance records, e-mail attachments, or virtually any other sensitive data and Secure Shield takes care of the rest. Secure Shield uses industrial-strength 128-bit AES encryption to ensure that your private data stays just that - private. Secure Shield also includes a secure file anonymizer to effortlessly shield large groups of files from prying eyes. After anonymizing, you, and only you, are able to restore them to their original form.

Editor review

This easy-to-use application makes protecting files painless, though we do have a few complaints. Though you can't encrypt folders, Secure Shield's elementary interface lets you password-protect and encrypt files by conveniently dragging and dropping them into its queue, and of course you can still browse and select as well. We like its handy Windows integration for quick right-click encryption of files and its rapid file restorer. As an additional security measure, you can mask the filename. Although Secure Shield only uses 128-bit AES algorithm, it includes a file shredder and can clear your cache's memory. Though we certainly can't dub this one a powerhouse, its clear-cut approach to data security may be a good choice for some users.
