Description

Clockility is an analog clock utility program which allows the user to create schemes by choosing colours and customize the appearance. It can be set to run as a separate screen saver which interchanges pictures from a selected folder or user created schemes. Different time zones can be selected.

In version 1.0.2 the user interface with drop down menus has been replaced with option panels. The digital inset has a 3D appearance. The colour of the dial's gradient can be changed using the colour picker when the gradient option is ticked. Three styles of arms can be selected under the styles panel.

Review

Editor review

Stability issues and a lackluster design will likely cause most users to pull the plug on this desktop analog clock. Clockility's interface isn't pleasing to look at, with its old-school digital view and the uninspiring analog display. You're limited to square or round clock face choices and simple color changes for the background, numerals, and hands. The traditional clock features are present--day, date, Roman numerals, second-hand display--and you can choose between sweeping and quartz second-hand motions. Stability issues persist in this application. Its alarm feature failed to work and we were presented with a runtime error each time we changed the clock's drab background to an image file on our system, immediately shutting down Clockility. Another concern is that you only get 15 instances to test the app. With few positives here, most users should continue hunting for a functionally reliable clock.
